About The Position

The Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Operations, supports the Warehouse Manager in overseeing all aspects of warehouse activities including other facilities. This role ensures operational continuity, supervises staff, and maintains high standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance during assigned shifts.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Three or more years of experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees.
  • Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
  • Must possess basic math and computer skills, as well as effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Responsible for knowing and adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Works in high noise areas and use mandatory hearing protection.
  • Ability to complete reports and forms.
  • Works with fleet operations for moving products from site to site.
  • Valid driver's license required. Must be able to travel between facilities on a weekly basis or as needed to support operations, and must maintain reliable transportation for all work-related travel.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee warehouse operations at each site during their designated shift.
  • Check the schedule for any updates or changes on the: expiration dates, item changes, materials needed, or new products. Ensure your line supervisors and plant supervisor have everything they need to set them up for success.
  • Complete the daily shift report in preparation for morning meetings.
  • Fill out any incident reports that may occur on your shift as well as providing. transportation for any injured employee that may need medical attention.
  • Obtain mechanical knowledge of the equipment used for moving the product through direct interaction. (Forklift)
  • Conduct disciplinary meetings when necessary, including verbal warnings, written warnings, and terminations.
  • Communicate with production & processing concerning cream/pops shortages, delayed product from site to site including raw materials.
  • Oversee warehouse production of each plant with special attention to daily attainment goals.
  • Assists training specialist and cross-training personnel and new employees.
  • Must be able to travel from site to site weekly or as needed to support other facilities.
  • Displays competency in strategizing and critical thinking skills.
  • Fill out timecard approvals daily in ADP and submit milage sheets for employees travel from site to site.
  • Work with internal hiring and temporary staffing agencies for all your staffing needs.
  • Monitor cameras if necessary.
  • Make sure inventory accuracy is good before shipping.
  • Cleaning – be sure that house-keeping is in order in the warehouse.
  • Report all damages from lift trucks, dock doors, product.
  • Create work orders for all facility and equipment damages.
  • Manager switchers, box truck drivers & 3rd party drivers during the shift.
