About The Position

Retro Environmental has been a trusted leader in demolition and environmental services since 1990. Our skilled team is committed to excellence, safety, and quality workmanship. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to join our growing team. The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations, personnel, and logistics to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant handling of materials and equipment. This position is responsible for optimizing warehouse workflows, maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring timely fulfillment of project needs, and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The Warehouse Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager and supervises the Assistant Warehouse Manager and warehouse staff.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in warehouse or logistics management, preferably in environmental, construction, or industrial services.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, logistics coordination, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate effectively while maintaining accountability for team performance.
  • Commitment to fostering teamwork and continuous improvement across warehouse operations.
  • 3+ years of management/supervisory experience in a warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise and mentor warehouse personnel, including the Assistant Warehouse Manager, mechanics, drivers, and laborers.
  • Set performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, and identify opportunities for training and professional development.
  • Maintain daily communication with the Operations Manager, Superintendents, Field Office Managers, and Project Managers regarding warehouse priorities and field support.
  • Foster a positive work culture emphasizing safety, efficiency, and mutual respect.
  • Manage all warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, staging, loading, returns, and dispatch.
  • Ensure picklists are accurately fulfilled, verified, and loaded in accordance with project requirements and timelines.
  • Oversee the return process for all materials, ensuring accountability for Retro-issued property and consumables.
  • Maintain operational excellence through the use of FieldFlo for documentation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Oversee and approve weekly and quarterly inventory audits, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all assets and consumables.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize loss, overstock, or material shortages.
  • Monitor equipment maintenance schedules, ensuring all tools and machinery are inspected, services, and certified for use.
  • Develop strategies for just-in-time inventory to support field operations without overstocking.
  • Maintain compliance with all OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations, as well as company safety policies.
  • Parten with the Safety Manager to ensure all staff are trained and compliant with PPE, asbestos awareness, forklift operation, and other safety requirements.
  • Conduct and document incident investigations and corrective actions in coordination with the Safety Manager and Operations Manager.
  • Ensure fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and other safety equipment are inspected and maintained.
  • Evaluate warehouse systems and processes regularly to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse activities, including receiving, returns, and material tracking.
  • Prepare and present performance metrics and report on productivity, inventory accuracy, and loss prevention.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve technology use and workflow automation within the warehouse.
  • Approve tool issuance records, manifests, and generate labels for all projects.
  • Oversee logistics and scheduling of warehouse deliveries, ensuring timely and cost effective transportation.
  • Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping of all warehouse transactions, equipment logs, and inspection forms.
  • Support budget planning for warehouse operations, equipment procurement, and maintenance.
  • Lead special warehouse projects focused on expansion, reorganization, safety improvement, or operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure warehouse initiatives align with overall company goals.
