About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to build, formalize, and operate our warehouse and material control functions in a regulated nuclear manufacturing environment. This role owns end-to-end warehouse operations—including receiving, inspection, inventory control, kitting, internal material movement, packaging, and shipping—while establishing compliant, auditable processes that support safe, traceable, and scalable production. This is a foundational role. You will build on an existing operation, document and standardize processes, implement systems and metrics, and continuously improve warehouse performance as production volume and regulatory complexity increase.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of warehouse or materials management experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (nuclear, aerospace, defense preferred)
  • Experience building or formalizing warehouse operations, systems, and processes
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, traceability, and production support
  • Experience with ERP/MRP and warehouse management systems
  • Proven people leadership with a hands-on, execution-focused mindset

Responsibilities

  • Own all warehouse activities across inbound, internal, and outbound material flow
  • Support manufacturing schedules through accurate, timely inventory movement and kitting
  • Allocate labor and resources to meet operational and production demands
  • Design and evolve the physical warehouse layout, including racking, staging, inspection, and shipping areas
  • Establish digital inventory structure, including location control, labeling, serialization, and traceability
  • Select, implement, and optimize ERP/WMS tools, barcoding, and inventory controls in alignment with nuclear quality requirements
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and training materials
  • Ensure warehouse operations meet nuclear quality, safety, and audit-readiness standards
  • Identify process gaps and implement compliant improvements
  • Maintain high inventory accuracy through disciplined transactions, cycle counts, and controls
  • Manage discrepancies, nonconformances, and inventory risk communication
  • Establish and track KPIs for receiving, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment
  • Drive lean improvements, reduce waste, and identify automation opportunities
  • Hire, train, and lead warehouse personnel as the operation scales
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement
