About The Position

Carolina Chillers, LLC specializes in HVAC service, controls, installation, maintenance agreements, parts, equipment, and equipment relocations, as well as complete system evaluations to determine building and facility efficiency. We are a licensed, full service mechanical contractor for all types of mechanical equipment including air handlers, cooling towers, motors, pumps, valves, controls, variable frequency drives, data room HVAC, and chillers. Our customer base consists of commercial, medical, and industrial facilities and applications. Our solutions-based philosophy and technical expertise are the foundations of our success and drive us in our pursuit of meeting our customer’s needs. As a Warehouse Manager this role will be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with the daily operations, organization and planning tasks to maintain high performance of the warehouse’s storage processes. This position works together with the department leaders to provide support to the entire organization.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • EPA Approved Universal Technician Certification
  • Must have a valid driver’s license (with clean driving record)
  • Forklift Certified
  • Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedures and policy
  • Intermediate level of computer literacy

  • The position requires the candidate to regularly lift and / or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and / or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and /or move more than 50 lbs.
  • The position will also require bending, climbing, pulling, pushing, balancing, kneeling, twisting, standing, and climbing stairs and ladders.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with the company’s policies and vision
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data entry system
  • Track warehouse material stock and sign out materials for specific projects
  • Turn in daily pick-tickets for any assigned material
  • Report on low stock to Project Managers and Service Managers for orders
  • Track refrigerant stock and update log
  • Manage truck inventory and service/maintenance scheduling
  • Track truck material assignment and tool replacements
  • Place orders for truck inventory stock
  • Schedule regular maintenance and coordinate with team members to switch to spare vehicles
  • Update truck vehicle list and information
  • Maintain Fleetio maintenance along with ensuring truck inspections are completed each month by technician.
  • Ensure all trailers are functional, safe, and regularly maintained
  • Provide a weekly report on trailer status (tires, structural, lights, etc.)
  • Unload trailers to ensure availability
  • Maintain all warehouse equipment/tools and monitor usage
  • Provide a weekly report on equipment assignment for projects (lifts, jacks, breaks, welders, etc.)
  • Provide a weekly report for cage tool sign out for individuals (propress, freeze kit, hot tap, etc.)
  • Manage the warehouse assistant and ensure their daily tasks are completed.
  • Monitor driver deliveries for both service and construction
  • Ensure all packages are received and logged each day
  • Ensure the daily forklift inspection is completed
  • Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and controlling the warehouse. Also to work on establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals
  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping
  • Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
  • Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
  • Oversee any activities conducted in the warehouse (training, coil coating, fabrication, etc.) Ensure work environments are clean and safe.
  • Work with project managers and service coordinators on just in time deliveries to improve warehouse capacity.
  • Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, shipping and receiving.
  • Meet regularly with department leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.
  • Meet regularly with department leads to ensure scheduled deliveries/crane lifts are updated on the calendar and assigned to the driver.
