The center currently ranks as the second largest convention center in the United States. The OCCC offers 7,000,000 sq ft of total space, 2,100,000 sq ft of which is exhibit space. The large complex is located on the South end of International Drive, a major tourist area in Orlando, Florida. Solar panels on the roof of the South Concourse provide 1 MW of power. On April 18, 2012, the American Institute of Architects' Florida Chapter placed the building on its list of Florida Architecture: 100 Years. 100 Places.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or appropriate combination of education and experience to support on-the-job effectiveness.
  • 3-5 years of warehouse management experience within a food and beverage, hospitality, or high-volume operations environment.
  • Proven ability to manage, train, and motivate staff in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and Health Department requirements.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, with experience in cost controls, budgeting, and P&L accountability highly desirable.
  • Technologically savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; experience with inventory management software preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors, clients, and all levels of staff.
  • Self-starter who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and contribute across functional areas of the business.
  • Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes, and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver in tightly-quartered environments.
  • Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage employee schedules for both warehouse and linen room using Prospr and AoD systems.
  • Supervise warehouse and linen room staff to ensure timely task completion and proper procedures are followed.
  • Oversee daily restock orders including CO₂ tanks, water jugs, employee water and trash cans.
  • Ensure timely pickup of racks from the back dock and proper handling of linen and water racks.
  • Conduct daily checks with department managers and chefs to identify delivery shortages and resolve issues.
  • Communicate with the purchasing team regarding product delivery discrepancies or shortages.
  • Food Trak - complete daily transfers.
  • Food Trak - Monitor and record food waste in Food Trak, with oversight and guidance from the Purchasing Department.
  • Ensure all products leaving the warehouse have the proper documentation.
  • Complete the OCCC transfer form for any product ordered or picked up by OCCC before releasing the item.
  • Submit the completed paperwork to the Purchasing Department for processing and recordkeeping.
  • Spot-check pallets for accuracy and proper construction to ensure they match requisitions. Ensure pallets stacked above other pallets are in compliance with HACCP guidelines.
  • Ensure that all refrigerated items are stored at appropriate temperatures and stacked safely in accordance with HACCP standards.
  • Manage product rotation in both warehouse and refrigeration areas to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
  • Maintain accurate temperature logs for refrigeration units, including AM/PM and weekend checks.
  • Oversee warehouse inventory: schedule counts, verify accuracy, and enter data into Food Trak.
  • Maintain all vehicles (including Box Truck, Pallet Jack, Flat Bed...) by tracking its usage and scheduling regular maintenance.
  • Conduct staff training sessions focused on teamwork, operational efficiency, and safety compliance.
