Warehouse Maintenance Technician II
About The Position
The Warehouse Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation and warehousing facilities. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment and systems, directly impacting operational efficiency and workplace safety. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, conducting inspections, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime. By keeping equipment in top condition, the Maintenance Technician supports PLA’s commitment to high service quality and a safe working environment for all team members.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance (mechanical or electrical)
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and powered tools
- Ability to read and follow safety protocols (LOTO, equipment manuals, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Nice To Haves
- Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain one)
Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance on warehouse tools, machinery, and forklifts
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments on mechanical and electrical equipment
- Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and tools
- Ensure forklift driver certifications are current and properly documented
- Operate and maintain equipment such as IR Sort Machines and forklifts (training provided)
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and ensure Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) compliance
- Follow all company safety policies and environmental procedures
- Duties may vary; other responsibilities may be assigned as needed
