About The Position
The Warehouse Maintenance Manager at Ryder System is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the management and execution of a comprehensive maintenance program within a highly automated logistics distribution center. This position is crucial for ensuring that both automation and facilities are maintained to meet the business's key objectives. The Warehouse Maintenance Manager will communicate and implement maintenance strategies effectively, ensuring that all equipment and automation systems are operational and efficient. This role requires a strong focus on performance measurement, cost tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives, fostering accountability among the maintenance team. In this position, the Warehouse Maintenance Manager will supervise hourly maintenance employees, guiding them in troubleshooting and repair tasks while also identifying opportunities for process improvements. The manager will be responsible for planning preventative maintenance schedules and managing the performance of direct reports. This includes monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance activities, vendor response times, and overall automation performance. The role also involves collaborating with various internal teams to ensure that maintenance strategies align with business goals and customer needs. The Warehouse Maintenance Manager will play a key role in implementing business maintenance programs and directing maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with policies and supporting marketing and sales efforts. The position requires a proactive approach to managing maintenance functions, including preventative maintenance on lower to mid-complexity automated sites. The manager will also be expected to perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the maintenance department and the organization as a whole.
