Essential duties and Responsibilities: Unload 48ft - 53ft Trailers or Containers inclusive of down stacking, palletizing, labeling and staging for product put-away. Receive, examine and inspect products for wear, defects, temperature abuse; reporting any observations to supervisors and QC. Perform inventory controls and keep high quality standards for audits and receiving logs Follow quality service standards and compliance with OSHA, USDA, FDA and SQF procedures, rules and regulations Ability to maintain an appropriate and consistent flow of trucks to the dock, by coordinating with truck drivers, and warehouse receivers ensuring completion of unloading process, Ability to cross reference data between different programs and forms to ensure accuracy of documentation received, and report any discrepancies to warehouse and leadership personnel Ability to maintain frequent communication with Warehouse Manager and Cashier regarding the status of payments/fees in order to assist in the return of all paperwork to the driver in a timely manner Ability to handle difficult situations with finesse and tact, conferring with Management as needed Ability to maintain a positive and helpful manner when checking in carriers and interacting with other warehouse personnel Maintain a working knowledge of: Vendor accounts, carrier accounts, warehouse requirements, rate schedules, dock schedules, and door specifications Comfortable working in a refrigerated and frozen warehouse environment requiring standing, bending, kneeling and lifting for long periods of time Communication and cooperation with supervisors and co-workers. Keep a clean, safe working environment and adherence to COVID guidelines.
