Harvest Sherwood is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Loader to join our team at our Orlando distribution center. As the largest independent wholesale food distributor in the U.S., we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality protein products and other foods to over 6,000 retail and foodservice customers. The Warehouse Loader will work under the direct supervision of a Night Warehouse Supervisor and will be responsible for a variety of essential functions that contribute to the efficiency and safety of our operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products are loaded and unloaded accurately and efficiently, maintaining our commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. In this position, the Warehouse Loader will perform tasks such as loading routes, unloading trailers, selecting orders, pulling freight orders, scanning orders, and fixing mistakes. The role requires a strong focus on safety and teamwork, as the Warehouse Loader will work closely with other team members to ensure that trucks are loaded safely and efficiently. The Warehouse Loader will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, which is vital for ensuring a safe working environment. Additionally, the Warehouse Loader will interact with various teams within the warehouse to maximize output and efficiency, and will be expected to cross-train for other lift and off-lift activities as needed. The position demands physical stamina, as the Warehouse Loader will frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch throughout their shift. They will also be required to lift, push, or move products weighing from 1 up to 100 pounds, and must be able to perform job functions in varied temperatures within the warehouse and freezer. The Warehouse Loader will need to demonstrate a sense of urgency and comfort working in a fast-paced environment, and will be expected to resolve problems with routes as they arise, assist colleagues, and attend scheduled staff meetings.
