About The Position

This position operates from handheld computer system to build loads for transport, bulk and/or route trucks, using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy, on what is unloaded from incoming trucks.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required in-house Forklift Certification provided
Database Software (ADP)
Electronic Mail Software (Outlook)
Inventory Software (Easy Ops/VIP)
Work experience as a general laborer, preferably in a warehouse.
Ability to operate a forklift proficiently.
Completion of background investigation and drug screening.
Strong people skills.
Good moral character.
Physically strong, agile and dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.
Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
Available to work extended hours.

Responsibilities

Selecting designated packages and flavors of product from the warehouse and then loading them onto a pallet.
Must be able to lift product repeatedly, weighing as much as 50 pounds during a 10-13 hour work period (seasonally).
Requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping as you move product
Work safely and apply all safety requirements as defined by management personnel
Organize and clean work area
Refer to handheld computer system to plan approach to building the order
Drive hi-lift to picking area and build pallet
Wrap pallet when complete
Turn in paperwork with order for check before placing pallet in loading staging area
Responsible for maintaining the stability of the pallet by properly stacking and shrink wrapping the built pallet.
Unload returned product and pallets/plastic flats
Ensures cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
Communicate errors to relevant parties.
Stores inventory in an accessible manner.
Builds loads with forklift and electronic pallet jack.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
