About The Position

The Warehouse Lead Person is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, providing guidance and troubleshooting support to the warehouse team while also performing high-level warehouse tasks. This role ensures that internal customer needs are met, performance targets are achieved, and safety standards are maintained.

Requirements

• Meet assessment requirements for the position.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and act on product specifications, SOPs, PWIs, and similar documents.
• Effective communication skills with team leaders, clerks, supervisors, and customers.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret bills of lading.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and climbing.
• Good sight and hearing to avoid hazards.
• Ability to function while wearing appropriate PPE in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and troubleshooting support to the warehouse team.
• Spend up to 50% of work time guiding others in warehouse tasks.
• Understand and meet internal customer needs and expectations.
• Know daily schedules and performance targets, taking action to meet them.
• Maintain high levels of warehousing and shipping skills.
• Identify personal development needs and seek training.
• Understand loading and transport specifications and modify processes accordingly.
• Ensure standards are met and assist operators as necessary.
• Provide input to supervisors on team performance and recommend disciplinary actions.
• Direct individual work schedules to meet daily objectives of safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping.
• Coordinate with the Packaging Supervisor as needed.
• Conduct equipment inspections as necessary.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety compliance in the warehouse.
• Participate in improvement activities and uphold company values.
