About The Position

Role and Responsibilities Load and unload products from the trucks Review products for damage before shipments Sort and place materials and items according to organizational standards Lead, develop, train and maintain highly competent dock working professionals. Maximize effectiveness of each of member of the team and recommend short-term and long-term plans with respect to improving the effectiveness of assigned functions and responsibilities. Assure timely and accurate inbound and outbound deliveries. Assure the preparation and sign-off of all inbound and outbound paperwork is accurate. Participate in quarterly inventory counts with selected team members. Prep and sign-off on all inbound and outbound bill of ladings Label products and store them in an organized manner Communicate efficiently with supervisors and teammates Ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area by maintaining company sanitation and food safety standards. Operate a forklift or hydraulic jack lift to move boxes. Work to solve inventory variances and trace-and-track issues. Follow all rules / guidelines / GMP’s. (Good Manufacturing Practices) Performs other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities This position oversees 5-8 warehouse associates.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience with loading and unloading trucks
  • 3+ years’ experience of inventory control
  • Solid understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
  • Sound leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to interact with employees in a professional manner, including under stressful situations.
  • Previous forklift experience
  • Able to operate a variety of forklifts. Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, SPC, HACCP, OSHA, and USDA regulations.
