About The Position

The Warehouse Lead provides direction for Material Handlers and balances workflow for the distribution center.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree required.
  • One year of related experience is required.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems is required.
  • Candidates must have strong computer skills
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous lead or supervisory experience is highly desired
  • Experience in a role managing multiple priorities is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Assist shift supervisors in pre-shift meetings and paperwork necessary during the shift
  • Plan and execute timely inbound and outbound deliveries, prioritizing resources
  • Responsible for escalating any issues that arise during the shift, if necessary
  • Ensure that employees are working safely, following all work rules, and that all required PPE are always being worn
  • Act as backup Wave Planner when necessary; these duties include (but are not limited to) allocating orders, releasing work to the warehouse floor, and ensuring truck turn times are within acceptable levels
  • Ensure that proper people are in the appropriate areas on the correct equipment to evenly complete work in queue
  • Other duties as assigned
