Position Overview The Warehouse Lead is required to demonstrate leadership skills in the direction of warehouse controls and to warehouse team members. The lead will oversee and participate in the warehouse operations and activities of the distribution center; train and provide daily work direction to warehouse team members. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in leading a distribution team
  • Forklift Certified
  • Must be able to operate a sit-down forklift and utilize a pallet jack
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse distribution center with exposure to factors such as extreme hot and cold temperatures, humidity, moving machinery, and noise
  • Read, write, and speak English
  • Basic computation skills add, subtract, and have knowledge of basic use of calculator

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish is desired

Responsibilities

  • Prepare various activities for delivery; prepare packages for shipping according to established procedures (pick, unload, label, and store product)
  • Verify computations against physical count of stock
  • Load and unload product to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or trucks
  • Communicates with various team members, departments, vendors, and others to provide and receive information, help resolve questions and issues, and coordinate warehouse activities
  • Maintain a variety of records and files to assure SOP’s are being followed
  • Assist with performing inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
  • Maintains condition of work area (i.e. good housekeeping, product in correct location, etc.)
  • Partner closely with the customer service department to clarify product information, assist in resolve issues that may come up, and to provide valuable information to address discrepancies with shipment related activities
  • Maintain a safe working environment by assuring the facility meets all government regulations as set forth by OSHA and the company, and any others that may apply
  • Report and assist DC Manager on day to day activities
  • Adhere to safety practices, handling hazardous materials, operating equipment used in a warehouse including office equipment, organizational skills, and using software applications
