About The Position

Tessera is seeking a skilled and reliable Warehouse Lead with a helpful attitude. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Responsible for employees engaged in warehouse operations. Ensure jobs are completed effectively and safely. Responsible for inspection of individual items and determines equipment serviceability, proper classification, cleanliness, and other considerations in sorting and inventorying of items. Assists management in stock record functions pertaining to the distribution, issue and turn-in of OCIE. Assists and provides feedback to supervisors for annual performance evaluations, written documentation for disciplinary or corrective actions and NISH evaluations. Ensure employees are available and in place for bulk issue and turn-in. Ensures stock on hand meets needs of bulk turn-in and issue. Operates forklift, as needed. Inspects forklift for maintenance requirements or safety concerns daily and maintains logbook of inspections. Changes propane tanks as necessary and inspects tanks for serviceability. Schedules and conducts periodic inventories related to shipping, receiving, and stocking of the warehouse. Trains warehouse employees in proper issue and turn-in procedures, maintaining proper documentation of issue/turn-in, as well as the appropriate classifying and sorting procedures. Monitor employee performance to ensure efficient use of time and performance of work tasks. Coach, mentor and resolve employee concerns in a respectful and mutually beneficial manner. Record daily personnel attendance and track employee absences, tardiness, etc. Monitor employee interactions and conduct, documenting misconduct on designated Tessera forms.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of supply management procedures and techniques.
  • Demonstrated success in team/collaborative management processes/projects involving warehouse and supply operations.
  • Ability to supervise employees.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and handle inquiries and complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Demonstrated computer skills especially with Microsoft Excel and ISM (Installation Support Modules).
  • Valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance carrier.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
  • Access to this federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain installation access and CAC card.
