The Warehouse Lead supports the Warehouse Manager by providing senior-level operational and technical leadership across warehouse functions. This role is crucial for ensuring compliant, on-time delivery through strong internal and external partnerships, driving First-Time-Right execution and data integrity, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and serving as a subject matter expert for warehouse systems and regulatory requirements. The Warehouse Lead also acts as an informal leader, mentors team members, supports audits, and serves as backup to the Warehouse Manager as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 5+ years of related experience, or Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., Supply Chain) with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, and/or material handling environment

Responsibilities

  • Utilize site systems effectively, including Microsoft Office, Oracle, site scheduling tools, DGIS, and courier platforms (e.g., FedEx), and provide troubleshooting and system training support as needed.
  • Perform receiving activities for APIs, controlled substances, packaging materials, and supplies in Oracle in accordance with SOPs and client‑specific requirements, including proof of delivery and discrepancy communication.
  • Execute sampling activities in compliance with cGMP procedures, including gowning/PPE requirements, operation of TruScan RM tools, and monitoring and documentation of sampling booth conditions.
  • Safely perform material movement activities, including loading/unloading couriers, internal transfers, warehouse movements, and timely delivery of materials and documentation to support operations.
  • Prepare and execute shipments end‑to‑end, including palletization, overpacking, strapping/wrapping, temperature monitoring, documentation, carrier scheduling, and coordination with brokers and logistics partners.
  • Ensure compliance with IATA/DOT regulations for hazardous materials shipments and support training of others on courier‑specific and regulatory shipping requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control and record keeping, including system transactions, cycle counts, end‑of‑year inventories, logbooks, cleaning records, FAA documentation, and document retention.
  • Serve as a liaison with project management, QA, technical services, clients, couriers, and customs brokers to facilitate accurate, compliant, and timely receipt and shipment of materials.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety, including waste handling, location accuracy, fork truck operation, daily safety checks, and compliance with Catalent safety practices.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, support supply ordering, assist with audits and inspections, provide backup to warehouse leadership as needed, and perform additional duties as assigned.
