About The Position

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The purpose of this position is to schedule, direct, and organize the daily duties and activities of warehouse operators and coordinate with other departments. SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Prepare daily/weekly schedules and direct daily activities for safe and efficient warehouse operations. Supervise a team of warehouse employees, including hiring, directing, training, and managing performance including performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. Supervise the receiving, shipping, handling, distribution, and storage of all freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of the warehouse. Ensure all production orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules. Communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties. Monitor inventory for accuracy of both physical count and value. Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment. Ensure employees adhere to corporate policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment. Assist Manager CPW with the maintenance of appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials. Identify discrepancies between inventory records and take action. Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters; make adjustments where necessary. Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving. Perform the duties of a Warehouse Operator as needed.

Requirements

  • EHS REQUIREMENTS:
  • Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the company’s TRIR goals
  • Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals
  • Complete, and actively participate in all of the company’s Safety Skills training requirements
  • POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management.
  • Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiar with enterprise-level track-and-trace systems, as well as implementation experience.
  • Experience with radio frequency ID systems (RFID), bar code systems, and electronic data interchange (EDI) may be required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of warehouse documentation, with good writing skills.
  • Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions.
  • Project management skills are preferred.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Team leadership and teambuilding abilities.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills, diplomacy, and tact.
  • Certified forklift operator
  • A combination of the above qualifications may also be considered.
  • PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of warehouse, and to all allowable areas of a well site or other job sites.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/move and carry up to 70 pounds.
  • Must be able to safely mount and dismount from the back of a truck, and bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at area.
  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate hand tools and mechanical tools such as a wench.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace.
  • Must be able to tolerate changing priorities, and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
