About The Position

About the Role We are looking for a skilled and tech-savvy Warehouse Lead who can take charge of day-to-day warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be highly functional across all warehouse areas and able to train new hires on various levels of Warehouse Operator duties (Entry-Level, Material Handler, Level I, II, and III). This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance leadership responsibilities while ensuring operational excellence, safety, and compliance. As a Warehouse Lead , you will coordinate workflows, manage inventory, back up supervise warehouse teams, and maintain high safety and cleanliness standards. You will also support the warehouse manager when absent and step in as a backup for operational decisions. What You'll Do Lead Daily Warehouse Operations Coordinate and support loading and unloading processes Ensure forklift drivers and slip sheet operators handle materials accurately Optimize warehouse space and product placement through consolidation strategies Inventory & Systems Management Operate WMS platforms like PRISM , Tarantella to track and manage inventory Maintain accurate documentation and oversee proper product rotation Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory is correct and up to date Train New Hires & Develop Skills Train and mentor new employees on all aspects of warehouse operations, including Entry-Level, Material Handler, and Warehouse Operator duties at Level I, II, and III Ensure that all team members are up to speed with safety procedures, product handling, and the use of warehouse equipment Supervisory & Team Leadership Oversee warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and correctly Step in as the Warehouse Manager in their absence, making decisions in alignment with company policy Assist in performance reviews, training programs, and addressing employee performance issues when necessary Safety & Compliance Enforce AIB and/or SQF food safety and sanitation standards throughout the warehouse Promote and model safe working practices, maintaining a focus on accident prevention Support regular safety meetings and compliance checks Communication & Customer Focus Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure smooth operations and complete customer satisfaction Provide regular updates and status reports to the management team regarding operations, safety, and team performance What You Bring Experience & Knowledge Minimum of 3+ years of warehouse experience, including forklift and slip sheet operation Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role, with the ability to train others at various operational levels Proficiency with PRISM , WMS systems, and Microsoft Office applications Technical Skills Comfort with warehouse technology and inventory systems Strong mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Certifications (Preferred) Forklift Certification (including slip sheet) OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification Valid Driver’s License Leadership & Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to mentor and coach employees to improve skills and work ethic Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on building a team-oriented work environment Perks & Benefits Competitive Pay + Overtime Eligibility Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off & Company Holidays 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match Career Growth Opportunities & Structured Training Ongoing Professional Development Bonus Potential Apply Today Are you ready to lead by example and help others grow in the warehouse environment? Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of warehouse experience, including forklift and slip sheet operation
  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role, with the ability to train others at various operational levels
  • Proficiency with PRISM , WMS systems, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Comfort with warehouse technology and inventory systems
  • Strong mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to mentor and coach employees to improve skills and work ethic
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on building a team-oriented work environment

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift Certification (including slip sheet)
  • OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities
