About The Position

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, inventory management, deliveries, and facility organization, while ensuring compliance with all safety rules, regulations, and company policies. The Warehouse Lead works closely with Supply Chain leadership, serves as a key point of operational accountability on the floor, and reports directly to the Inventory Operations Manager. In addition to core warehouse responsibilities, the Warehouse Lead plays an active role in inventory accuracy, demand awareness, and process execution. This role is ideal for a driven, detail-oriented professional looking to grow their operational expertise and take ownership of a high-impact function within a fast-paced service environment.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate continuous improvement within the inventory and warehouse role
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) across multiple levels of the organization
  • Proficient in computer systems including (Service Titan a huge plus) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret inventory data, trends, and forecasts and make data-driven decisions
  • Ability to prioritize and manage inventory operations in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate professionally with leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to communicate goals in “solution” or project-based terms
  • Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships across multiple teams
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • 3 years of clean driving record
  • Forklift certified or ability to pass forklift certification 60 days from hire date
  • Knowledge of inventory practices including FIFO, inventory turns, cycle counting, and replenishment strategies
  • Minimum of 2 years in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment preferred
  • Experience in a high-volume warehouse or distribution environment preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and willingness to complete criminal background and drug screening (excluding THC)
  • This role requires a highly active and engaged presence within day-to-day operations. The Warehouse Lead is expected to regularly participate in and oversee various daily operations.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and moving throughout the warehouse.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing 75 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Frequent interaction with warehouse equipment, inventory, and team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions, including temperature fluctuations and operational noise.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all incoming inventory is properly received, verified, and documented in accordance with company SOPs, including inspection for accuracy, damage, and completeness
  • Manage and enforce vendor warranty processes, including proper identification, documentation, return coordination, and timely resolution of warranty claims in alignment with company policies and vendor requirements
  • Receive and unload incoming products while verifying accuracy of shipment and inspecting for damages, loss, or defects
  • Maintain product, tools, equipment, and work area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner
  • Organize warehouse space and perform and oversee cleaning duties
  • Work with warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Ensure that warehouse vehicles are maintained in good working condition
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for the warehouse and service vehicles, ensuring stock is properly tracked and accounted for
  • Support and coordinate inter-location inventory transfers as directed, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
  • Monitor inventory stock levels to prevent stockouts and flag overstock conditions to leadership
  • Maintain fleet inventory stock levels through routine replenishments
  • Analyze historical usage, seasonal trends, and growth patterns to forecast future inventory demand
  • Maintain target inventory levels equal to approximately 2 months of forward consumption for key SKUs
  • Monitor increases in consumption (velocity changes) and adjust reorder quantities and safety stock accordingly
  • Identify decreases in usage that may result in excess inventory and adjust purchasing and transfers to prevent overstock
  • Utilize inventory metrics such as: Average Weekly Usage/Monthly Usage (AWU/AMU, Lead Time Demand (LTD), Safety Stock Levels, Reorder Points (ROP = Lead Time Demand + Safety Stock), Time To consume (TTC = On Hand Quantity divided by AMU)
  • Support efforts to optimize inventory turns and reduce carrying costs through accurate tracking and timely communication
  • Work with Supply Chain teams to ensure items are ordered in a timely manner to meet customer demand
  • Coordinate Parts-Special-Order (PSO) distribution for technicians and installers
  • Conduct weekly and quarterly cycle counts for warehouse and vehicles
  • Audit and review inventory counts for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Coordinate and manage bi-annual physical inventory counts
  • Coordinate and manage offboarding counts and reconciliation for vehicles
