We are currently looking for a Warehouse Lead for our Supply Chain Division located in our new location in Burnsville, MN.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years general warehouse or manufacturing experience in a manufacturing environment, 1 year lead/supervisory experience
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Customer service focus.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to train others.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and concentrate on tasks to meet Department goals.
  • Ability to identify and solve practical problems.
  • Strong detail orientation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

  • Provides coaching and work direction to both regular and temporary team members. Oversees and authorizes timesheets.
  • Oversees and performs activities relating to the shipping, receiving and distribution of production materials and supplies to ensure accuracy and completeness of the processes.
  • Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine priorities, work assignments and methods required to meet schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments and communicate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Coordinates activities about quantity verification, inspection, and verifies records and packing slips on outgoing and incoming shipments to ensure information is entered into the system for efficient inventory control.
  • Monitor inventory to highlight shortages, aging inventory and coordinate purchasing of products and material.
  • Collaborates in the VMI process (Vendor Managed Inventory) making sure customer’s inventory is maintained in a streamlined and effective way. Also, serves as the VMI backup when needed.
  • Properly unload shipments, items and materials received to ensure efficient storing and staging.
  • Attends meetings, communicates with other departments, and provides information to managers about any problem that occurs or areas for improvement.
  • Participate in processes and programs aimed at continuous improvement and safety.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
