About The Position

The Warehouse Lead, Split Shift position is responsible for effective leadership and hands-on support to ensure smooth and efficient operations during the Split Shift. This position is also responsible for training, guiding, and supporting team members to meet performance, safety, and quality standards. The Warehouse Lead, Split Shift provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and demonstrates strict confidentiality with all team members while serving as an ambassador of our culture.

Requirements

  • Leadership and organizational skills with a heavy emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Requires the ability to effectively build rapport with both internal and external customers.
  • Requires a positive attitude and ability to function independently and in a team setting.
  • Must possess strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively.
  • Able to communicate in English with regard to the essential functions of the position.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One to three years of experience in the PVF Wholesale Distribution.
  • Prior operation experience.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull objects up 50 pounds.
  • Requires visual, hearing and speech acuity.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures and elements, noise, and fumes.
  • Ability to use hands to operate office equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Delegates workforce and is accountable for the execution of plans set forth by the Warehouse Manager.
  • Provides support and coverage to the Warehouse Manager Split Shift on day-to-day tasks.
  • Responsible for loading all delivery trucks accurately and in a timely manner to provide ridiculously good customer service.
  • Exemplifies dedication to customer satisfaction with superior experience.
  • Fosters continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Investigates items not found by picking staff and make appropriate adjustments.
  • Records daily attendance and ensures team members are compliant with proper PPE.
  • Assists team members with daily problem resolution.
  • Unloads trucks and accurately receive merchandise, matching bills of lading to purchase orders.
  • Weighs and counts items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Prepares routine reports and file shipping records.
  • Operates dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink wrap machine.
  • Adheres to all company safety rules, standards, and guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
