The Dixon Group is looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Lead to join our team in Itasca, IL! Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of verifiable leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven reliability, a strong attendance record, and the flexibility to work overtime when needed.
  • Computer proficiency, with experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF scanners.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills-you can give clear direction and motivate a team.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
  • Ability to consistently lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. during your shift.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment, which may be subject to moderate noise levels and varying temperatures.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus!
  • Forklift certification is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Mentor: Coach, train, and provide daily direction to a team of warehouse associates. You'll monitor team production, ensure tasks are completed correctly, and foster a positive, collaborative environment.
  • Drive Operations: Actively participate in and coordinate all warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, stocking, and accurately picking and checking customer orders using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Champion Safety & Quality: Uphold all safety standards, promote a "safety-first" culture, and ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and compliant.
  • Solve Problems: Act as the team's first point of contact for questions, troubleshoot order or system issues, and report on team performance to the Warehouse Supervisor.
