About The Position

The Warehouse Lead at The Vitamin Shoppe is responsible for overseeing the Outbound Replenishment and Shipping Department during the weekend shift. This role involves ensuring compliance with company policies, supporting the Process Manager, and enhancing the performance of health enthusiasts through training and effective communication. The Warehouse Lead plays a crucial role in maintaining a positive work environment, managing departmental resources, and driving continuous improvement in warehouse operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).
• Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Effective communication skills before groups of customers or associates.
• Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Problem-solving skills in practical situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Strong multi-tasking abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the performance of health enthusiasts to support business needs.
• Connect with each health enthusiast daily to maintain visibility and approachability.
• Create an energizing work environment by displaying positivity and celebrating achievements.
• Train health enthusiasts for improved performance and provide on-the-spot recognition.
• Report important information or opportunities to the Process Manager.
• Respond to health enthusiast inquiries and issues with timely follow-up.
• Conduct department activities to keep health enthusiasts connected and informed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Support teamwork and communicate performance results to health enthusiasts.
• Hold health enthusiasts accountable for achieving warehouse goals and objectives.
• Manage distribution and return of daily supplies and ensure availability of required equipment.
• Supervise communication flows to ensure health enthusiasts receive necessary information.
• Execute daily kick-off meetings as directed by the Process Manager.
• Prepare and maintain departmental reports and spreadsheets for strategic decisions.
• Supervise and resolve recurring business issues impacting warehouse performance.
• Collaborate with internal partners to resolve outstanding issues and inventory discrepancies.
• Evaluate project deliverables for content and quality and recommend solutions for roadblocks.
• Assume additional duties as required to meet warehouse goals.
