The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of leading a team, managing schedules, and handling various operational tasks to maintain smooth warehouse functions.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years experience in warehouse.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma; Associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Prior quality experience is a plus.
  • Experience in metal service industry is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Detail oriented and works with high degree of accuracy.
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be proficient with computers, including email and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Take directions from Operations Manager and create the daily/weekly production schedule.
  • Direct, lead and hold accountable the warehouse team for daily tasks/responsibilities.
  • Manage daily/weekly workload with balanced staff.
  • Supplement staff in receiving and order processing as needed.
  • Train new onboarding personnel.
  • Manage calibration records for all inspection equipment.
  • Notify purchasing of non-conformances and work with them on returns.
  • Assist division in preparation for audit.
  • Perform and oversee specific projects and programs assigned.
  • Participate in Safety and Quality training and meetings.
  • Ensure personnel have completed training in QT9.
  • Manage weekly/monthly checklist.
  • Control of Hazmat and necessary pick-up coordination.
  • Notify Operations Manager for scrap pick up coordination.
  • Participate in cycle counts.
