We are seeking a Warehouse Lead - Railcar Conductor for our First Quality Tissue facility located in Anderson SC. This position will be responsible for safely executing and leading railcar switches and associated tasks in a consistent manner in compliance with established policies and procedures to ensure the safe switching and unloading of railcars on plant site. This position also includes training and establishing best practices for the movement of rail equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education/experience required.
  • Current FRA training preferred, must be completed annually.
  • Outdoors so environment impacted by weather – hot, cold, raining, sunny, etc.
  • Normal mobility, manual dexterity, normal visual and auditory abilities required.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, climb and crawl.
  • Also must be capable of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language and perform basic mathematical skills.
  • A high level of organizational ability and communication skills to effectively deal with coworkers.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and training team to perform railcar switches ensuring safe switch and spotting operations.
  • Inspecting the condition of train and equipment and helping establish guidelines for inspections.
  • Ensure the timely off-loading of pulp from rail cars to prevent demurrage conditions.
  • Responsible for observing safety rules and always performing in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Promote and follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Promoting and practicing safety awareness
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facilities.
  • Stores and handles the product in accordance with warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Assists Inventory Specialist with conducting inventories when necessary.
  • Ensures the integrity and accuracy of all inventories daily.
  • Maintains an efficient product flow throughout the warehouse operation.
  • Working with rail company and planning to ensure proper placement of cars for production demands.
