About The Position

The role of the Receiving Clerk Lead is responsible for the management of inbound deliveries (direct and indirect purchases) entering the facility. The receiving clerk's lead will work closely with buyer, receiving clerk, and intercompany plan contacts to resolve any open deliveries by utilizing Discrepancy Log process. This role is responsible for ensuring all internal compliance requirements are complete for incoming shipments such as document repository and End of Quarter checklist.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety, company, and 6S standards in the distribution center to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Identify aging inbound deliveries by reviewing SAP In transit Report daily.
  • Identify root cause of issues with inbound deliveries and correct them.
  • Work with Receiving Clerk and Buyer to correct overages/shortages on all inbound deliveries.
  • Complete and manage Lost and Damage Freight Paperwork for transportation vendors.
  • Work with carriers to schedule all inbound loads.
  • Manage the Trailer Yard including storage trailers.
  • Follow and manage Hubbell's document retention policy for inbound documentation.
  • Report and follow up on all inbound shipments that do not conform to standard shipment requirements.
  • Prioritize tasks with supervisors/leads to ensure inbound shipments are completed in the proper order.
  • Daily management and maintenance of inbound error log.
  • Monitor and respond to email and phone calls in a timely manner.
  • Perform miscellaneous activities as directed by your manager to support warehouse operations.
