About The Position

To serve our internal and external customers by ensuring pallets of product to be delivered to our customers are built and trailers are loaded quickly, safely, and accurately. Essential Functions Receives and verifies incoming raw materials and incoming and outgoing full goods; ensures incoming materials and products are in good condition (e.g. no damaged goods, no out-of-date and/or leaking products) and that all PUSH loads are ready for delivery. Audits pallets of products being loaded onto OTR trucks; ensures that counts on all incoming and outgoing products match paperwork (e.g. proper quantity and flavor of product is received/shipped according to load sheets and receivers); works with appropriate personnel to correct errors and makes necessary adjustments as needed according to established company policy (e.g. correcting handhelds to reflect correct inventory). Assigns trailers to routes; communicate with yard spotters to ensure that trailers are placed in the correct truck bay so trucks can be efficiently loaded according to established policy; ensures that the correct trailer is loaded with the correct product according to established company standards and verifies trailer numbers with trailer assignment boards. Adheres to all company policies, standards and procedures (e.g. safety and OSHA requirements, AIB and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local Laws); wears all required personal protective equipment. Performs job duties of Warehouse Administrative Assistant to provide coverage from absences from work (e.g. paid time off, illness). Maintains cleanliness and assists in the organization of the warehouse (e.g. cuts away shrink wrap from pallets, gathers damaged materials, cleans up spills, cleans trash from trailers). Communicate with co-workers, supervisor and management team verbally regarding the status of work activities (e.g. shipping and receiving process) and other information, supervisor regarding questions or issues with daily assignments. Assist loaders in locating products in warehouses. Completes equipment stock status reports, shippers and receivers, time-off requests and other required paperwork according to established standards. Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as needed to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School or GED required
  • 1 - 3 years of inventory experience
  • Knowledge of: warehouse/food distribution environment; beverage industry.
  • Skill in: internal customer service.
  • Ability to: read load sheets and receivers; count accurately; work quickly, independently and efficiently; communicate effectively with other employees and develop good working relationships; adapt to change; operate a forklift, pallet jack, wrapper and other mechanical equipment; read and write; perform basic math functions (e.g. addition, subtraction).
  • Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), including forklifts, in compliance with safety standards and company procedure

  • previous food/beverage warehouse inventory experience strongly preferred
