We are currently hiring a Warehouse Outbound Lead for 1st shift at our Romeoville, IL distribution center. The pay rate is $22.75/hour. Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Judgement and decision making.
  • Adept knowledge of RF Scanners/Systems.
  • Use of computers and associated software programs including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to be certified to operate a Forklift (Order Picker, Sit-down or Walkie-Rider).
  • Ability to understand the essential throughput of a Logistics Operation.
  • Proven leadership of 10 or more people in a Warehouse setting.
  • Shipping and/or Receiving experience.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience in Warehousing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a department of 10-15 in daily communication meetings and issue each team member their daily workload.
  • Train, motivate, and lead the department to meet all daily production and safety goals while taking direction from the shift supervisor.
  • Take on accountability for all department operations, actions, and results.
  • Monitor and enforce Safety and Company policies.
  • Train and assist order pickers, checkers, and loaders as required.
  • Assist in development of department performance and productivity standards.
  • Hands on as needed based on workload and workforce.
  • Maintain and update start, hourly, and end of shift reports.
  • Attend all department and company meetings as required.
  • Assist shipping supervisor in directing workflow.
  • Provide input for employee evaluations.
  • Complete and/or coordinate department projects as assigned.
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
  • Other duties as assigned.
