Morton Industries is hiring for a 1st shift Warehouse Kitting Specialist!
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in kitting and order fulfillment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work orders accurately.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems (WMS, ERP preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Pick, organize, and assemble kits with the correct parts and materials based on work orders and customer requirements.
- Ensure all kits are complete and meet quality standards before distribution.
- Identify and report any missing or defective components.
- Maintain accurate records of kit components, stock levels, and usage.
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Work closely with inventory control teams to manage shortages and replenish stock as needed.
- Follow warehouse processes for receiving, storing, and staging kitted materials.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking kitted items.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitting area for efficient workflow.
- Verify kit accuracy by cross-checking against bill of materials (BOM) and order specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in handling materials and components.
- Communicate with production, logistics, and quality teams to resolve any discrepancies.
