Morton Industries is hiring for a 1st shift Warehouse Kitting Specialist!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in kitting and order fulfillment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work orders accurately.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems (WMS, ERP preferred).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, organize, and assemble kits with the correct parts and materials based on work orders and customer requirements.
  • Ensure all kits are complete and meet quality standards before distribution.
  • Identify and report any missing or defective components.
  • Maintain accurate records of kit components, stock levels, and usage.
  • Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Work closely with inventory control teams to manage shortages and replenish stock as needed.
  • Follow warehouse processes for receiving, storing, and staging kitted materials.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking kitted items.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitting area for efficient workflow.
  • Verify kit accuracy by cross-checking against bill of materials (BOM) and order specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in handling materials and components.
  • Communicate with production, logistics, and quality teams to resolve any discrepancies.
