About The Position

The Warehouse Keeper is responsible for retrieving and supplying raw materials to the production floor, ensuring timely delivery to the correct locations. This role involves scanning and transporting materials, managing inventory, performing cycle counts, and handling put away and consolidation activities. Additionally, the Warehouse Keeper is responsible for processing and recording scrap materials, maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment, and supporting logistics and distribution by picking, staging, and loading shipments. The position requires adherence to all company policies, including ISO/BRC Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve and supply raw materials for the production floor (Resin, pallets and totes etc), ensuring the timely delivery of goods to the appropriate location.
  • Scan and transport raw materials to the production floor and to the warehouse.
  • If scanning is not operational, may be required to complete manual IT forms.
  • Move any excess raw material to the warehouse; weighing it and scanning it into inventory.
  • Follow designated inventory location rules for proper rotation using F.I.F.O.
  • Responsible for scanning of raw material for production use and returning to inventory locations.
  • Responsible for scanning finished goods into inventory, wrapping when required and proper storage & stacking.
  • Performs cycle counts and reconciles discrepancies on a daily basis.
  • Participates in annual full cycle count.
  • Performs put away activities on a daily basis.
  • Maintains proper documentation for all materials.
  • Participate in line clearance process.
  • Ensure product integrity is maintained at a high level.
  • Move clean scrap cap gaylords to the regrind area.
  • Accurately weigh & record all scrap in designated collection points.
  • Take scrap boxes to compactor and compact them.
  • Empties garbage containers when full.
  • Ensure Warehouse is kept clean and clear of safety issues on a daily basis.
  • Sweeps and mops floors.
  • Ensures all pathways are kept clear.
  • Perform daily pre-use check on powered industrial equipment.
  • Report any unsafe condition or near miss in the Warehouse.
  • Reporting loss, damage and any such discrepancies to the supervising authorities.
  • Operate a manual pallet jack.
  • Picking and staging kids for shipping to ensure that all items are addressed and shipped to appropriate locations.
  • Firewall orders prior to shipping in accordance to picking list.
  • Load shipments in accordance to bill of lading and firewall.
  • Performs picking process in case it is needed (relabeling, change packaging or pallets, etc.).
  • Supports and maintains all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO/BRC Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures.
