About The Position

The Warehouse Janitorial Associate at ITW is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse facility and its surroundings. This role involves various cleaning tasks, including sweeping, scrubbing floors, and managing waste disposal, to ensure a clean and organized work environment. The associate may also assist in picking orders when housekeeping duties are light, contributing to the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to operate a floor scrubber and willingness to operate a forklift.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form with co-workers and other departments.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Pick up any debris such as broken boards, plastic, tape, or other trash.
• Transport damaged cases to the damage/recoup area and pick up cases off the floor to place them in their respective location.
• Break down and organize all cardboard using a baler.
• Collect and organize pallets.
• Maintain floors by sweeping with a broom and mopping with a floor scrubber.
• Empty trash bin locations by hand and transport waste to the dumpster.
• Operate the dumpster and empty plastic recyclable bins, transporting plastic to the recyclable area.
• Clean outside dock areas from trash and empty trash containers as needed.
• Assist in picking orders when housekeeping duties are light.
• Observe all safety policies and procedures.
