The Warehouse Inventory Specialist will support the business strategy by managing daily purchasing activities, maintaining inventory control, resolving inventory issues, and ensuring that inventory counts remain accurate. The warehouse inventory specialist’s goal is to ensure the accuracy of inventory with the warehouse, customers, and within its software system. Order items from inventory requests. · Confirm orders, pricing, and ship dates. · Input order points for location. · Build part numbers. · Work with locations on locating parts and part numbers. (Service techs and install) · Oversee inventory. · Must maintain an accurate inventory of incoming and outgoing products. · Must be able to accurately count and receive incoming freight, using inventory software. · Will work with satellite locations to transfer, receive, and bill out products using inventory software. · Interview potential vendors and select ones that best meet the needs of the organization. · Place restock orders and make sure they never run out of essential inventory items. · Keep up to date with industry trends and update inventory as needed. · Ensuring purchase orders, pricing, compliance, inventory utilization, and reporting are executed well and handled efficiently. · Use management software systems and technologies to manage and update their inventory records accordingly. · Manage open orders and follow up with Suppliers to develop a timeline for open-order delivery. · Performing inventory audits. · Researching inventory overages and shortages. · Managing deliveries. · Using software to accurately reflect inventory. · Creates paperwork necessary for the acquisition of materials and services. · Interfaces with internal customers to provide proactive customer service support.
