Warehouse Inventory Lead

Description Warehouse & Inventory Lead Location: Lake in the Hills, IL Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Compensation: $23.00/hr AFC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse & Inventory Lead to direct and coordinate receiving and warehouse operations according to established procedures. This role is critical to ensuring inventory accuracy, workplace safety, and team efficiency. What You'll Do Supervise receiving and warehouse functions to meet quality and procedural standards. Assign daily tasks and coordinate with managers and other supervisors to align resources and schedules. Train new and existing staff on warehouse procedures and safety protocols. Assist in developing and enforcing inventory management policies and work instructions. Operate material handling equipment (lift trucks, pallet jacks) to move, load, and unload goods safely. Oversee incoming shipments—verify counts, part numbers, and product quality; complete receiving transactions accurately. Inspect freight for damage and report issues to appropriate parties; manage and resolve freight claims. Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to buyers and planners. Conduct inventory cycle counts and support root cause analysis and corrective actions. Maintain accurate inventory transactions in the ERP system. Promote a positive, collaborative team culture while ensuring compliance with company policies. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in warehouse operations. Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety protocols. What You’ll Bring High school diploma or GED Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (or team-lift up to 100 lbs) Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems Forklift experience Prior manufacturing or coating experience a plus Why Join AFC?
