About The Position

As a Warehouse Inventory Control Supervisor at GEODIS, you will be responsible for planning the layout of stockroom and warehouse areas, advising employees on the care and preservation of items, and ensuring compliance with established procedures. You will also study records to recommend actions for non-usable or slow-moving stock, set cycle counts, and report inventory accuracy. Your role will involve scheduling work for inventories, tracing item histories to resolve discrepancies, and preparing reports to improve efficiency. This position requires strong leadership skills to assign duties and examine work for compliance with policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training.
  • PC literate with experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Plans layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas.
  • Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped.
  • Studies records and recommends remedial actions for non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock.
  • Reviews records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Sets cycle counts of inventory and clears discrepancies.
  • Reports inventory accuracy percentage to management and customers.
  • Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
  • Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies.
  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
  • Issues written and oral instructions.
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness and compliance.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.
  • Adjusts errors and complaints.
