About The Position

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring proper tracking of lumber products, parts, supplies, and materials within the sawmill warehouse. This role supports production operations by ensuring materials are received, stored, counted, and issued accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous warehouse or inventory experience preferred
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in an industrial environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory counts of lumber, timber products, maintenance parts, and warehouse supplies
• Perform routine cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory audits
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
• Enter inventory data into the company’s inventory management system
• Organize, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations
• Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of shortages or discrepancies
• Assist in investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Follow all sawmill safety policies and procedures
