About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. This position ensures that all areas of the warehouse are kept in good condition by performing regular cleaning, sanitation, and minor maintenance tasks. This role supports overall warehouse efficiency and safety by helping prevent hazards and contributing to a positive, well-kept work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret in English, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to perform basic math (addition and subtraction).
  • Ability to use desktop computers used to complete training courses, or complete other assigned tasks.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Sweeping aisles, dusting racking (removing pallets from single pallet locations with hand jack to clean out locations and mop).
  • Emptying plastic/cardboard bins throughout (removing empty boxes and damages from picking locations).
  • Loading the cardboard and trash into the proper compactors.
  • Load the stretch wrap and other plastic materials into the baler.
  • Make a bale when the plastic recycling baler is full and take it out to the assigned staging area.
  • Completing 5S projects (restriping areas with proper colored tape, scrapping up old striping, minor painting of bumpers guarding etc.).
  • Help with spill cleanups if needed and keep dry off area organized, tote removal/replacement when full.
  • Occasional clean-up of restrooms (trash, mop, wipe down with sanitizer).
  • Getting certified on single/double rider pallet jacks.
  • May get certified to use the floor sweeper or other forklifts as necessary.
  • Unloading stacks of wooden pallets from trailers and staging in assigned locations.
  • Sorting bad/good wood pallets with powered industrial equipment.
