The Warehouse Group Leader is responsible for overseeing the receiving and storage of materials and finished goods in the Distribution Department at the Brunswick plant. This role involves directing the work of team members during the 3rd shift, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely, and contributing to the overall productivity and profitability of the company.

  • Assigns, directs, and follows up the work of other team members on assigned shift.
  • Receives daily inbound and outbound truck schedules and determines work assignments for team members.
  • Stages frozen materials as required based on production schedule needs.
  • Pre-stages loads for next-day shipping as required.
  • Coordinates work activities of the team and assists in problem-solving.
  • Follows up on work activities to assure completion and reports on daily work completion to Team Leader.
  • Rearranges work assignments as required by changes in schedules or work requirements.
  • Maintains acceptable housekeeping in the Warehouse/Shipping areas during and at the end of the shift.
  • Pulls required ingredients and finished goods from storage for production needs.
  • Performs daily safety and operating inspections of fork trucks or pallet jacks.
  • Records materials received or finished goods shipped on daily tally sheets.
  • Moves materials or finished goods to proper storage locations using fork trucks.
  • Completes tally sheets accurately and submits them timely.
  • Checks and signs off on team time sheets and submits them timely.
  • Sweeps debris and maintains cleanliness in the work area.
  • Disposes of packaging materials properly and maintains waste management.
  • Uses cleaning equipment to maintain floor cleanliness.
  • Experience operating fork trucks and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds and up to 65 pounds with assistance.
  • Excellent vision and depth perception for safe operation of equipment.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and GMP requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Leadership experience or training in team management.
