The Warehouse Generalist position at the Lomar Distribution Center is a vital role responsible for the selection and stacking of merchandise on pallets to be shipped to retail locations. This position requires the ability to accurately select ordered items using a voice automated selection system and palletize items for shipment. Additionally, the Warehouse Generalist will prepare orders using a pick-to-light selection system as needed, ensuring that all items are handled safely and efficiently. The Warehouse Generalist is expected to report to work on time and adhere to company policies and departmental guidelines. Responsibilities include verifying that pallets are stable, shrink-wrapping pallets, and accurately applying pallet IDs. The role also involves performing daily safety inspections of power equipment and ensuring that safety equipment is utilized properly. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is essential, as is attending departmental and company meetings. The position does not involve direct reports but requires collaboration with various supervisors and managers within the distribution center. This role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift and move heavy objects, and involves working in a warehouse environment with exposure to various hazards. The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, lift test, and background check.
