About The Position

Warehouse Generalists at the full-performance level work independently under general supervision and will perform work in one or more work units. They are expected to develop proficiency in the work that they perform and take the Sponsor-specific training indicated below to ensure that they can safely and effectively operate the necessary equipment.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
  • At least one (1) year performing warehouseman-type work in a warehouse environment.
  • Maintain a clean driving record with specific criteria outlined.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Forklift training within 30 days of start.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of internal policies and regulations that pertain to storage, packing, shipping, and handling of materials.
  • Familiarity with Working Capital Fund (WCF) business operating procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of Washington, D.C. and surrounding routes.
  • Demonstrated experience operating various material handling equipment in accordance with safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate material handling equipment such as gas/diesel/electric-powered forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, shrink wrap machines, warehouse scales, and packing tape dispensers.
  • Perform tasks related to office moves and relocations, including manual lifting and lowering of boxes, totes, bins, and furniture.
  • Utilize manual and/or electric hand tools for activities such as mounting or dismounting white boards and assisting with measuring and cutting wood.
  • Conduct receiving and distribution functions, including validation of material contents and inspection of received material for damage.
  • Follow existing policies for proper packing and crating of material to be shipped, including hazardous materials.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment utilized in conjunction with the execution of these duties.
  • Process documents and manifests for materials and ready them for distribution.
  • Ensure safe and secure transport of documents/materials within Agency facilities and other Government Agencies.
  • Organize daily runs to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
  • Complete entries into and monitor a tracking database for daily activities.
  • Serve as the customer service representative and assist in the resolution of customer problems.
  • Coordinate daily activities of team officers depending on area of assignment.
