About The Position

A warehouse general laborer performs essential, hands-on tasks to keep logistics moving efficiently. Key responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, and unloading incoming shipments, picking and packing customer orders, and organizing inventory within the facility. They maintain a safe, clean work area, often operating forklifts or pallet jacks, and manually move goods.

Requirements

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (often 50+ lbs) for long shifts.
• Safety Adherence: Strict compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in picking items, reading shipping documents, and maintaining inventory records.
• Technical Aptitude: Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), scanning tools, and material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts).
• Teamwork: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Receiving & Storing: Unpacking, inspecting for damage, and stocking items in designated warehouse locations.
• Order Fulfillment: Picking products from shelves, scanning items, packing, labeling, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Logistics & Loading: Loading and unloading trucks and containers, often using pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Inventory Management: Performing inventory counts and using inventory systems to record stock movement.
• Maintenance & Safety: Keeping the warehouse floor, aisles, and workstations clean, safe, and organized.
