About The Position

The General helper assists and relieves other warehouse workers by performing a variety of job tasks assigned by the warehouse supervisor. We are recruiting for this position on all shifts.

Requirements

High School graduate, GED certification required.
Basic computer skills and proven ability to understand basic math concepts including measurement, volume, and distance.
Must have ability to operate forklift as required.
Reliable and available for occasional flexible work hours or overtime when needed.
Strong written and verbal communication

Nice To Haves

Experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred.
Forklift experience preferred.
Ability to understand and follow instructions as well as pass them to others.
Ability to work independently as well as on a team.

Responsibilities

Safe forklift operation.
Relieving other warehouse personnel for breaks, lunch periods or time off.
WMS functionality.
Warehouse organization/housekeeping and inventory control.
Keeping the warehouse supervisor informed regarding the status of work.
Ensure all tools, equipment and supplies are present and serviceable.
Maintaining proper communications both with management and fellow employees.
Recognition of potential problems and reporting to the Supervisor on shift.
Reporting items that require repair or adjustment.
Observing all safety rules and always being alert to potential safety hazards.
Staying up to date on and observing all work rules, policies and procedures.
Maintaining a healthy, positive attitude towards the company and its management.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
