About The Position

The Warehouse Furniture Prep Position at Walker Furniture involves assembling furniture for customer pickup and home delivery. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Entry-level position with under 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to perform work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals with attention to detail.
• Three months or more related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Uses warehouse equipment to move furniture into the shop area for assembly.
• Reads and follows directions for assembly.
• Inspects furniture to ensure no damage and that all parts are included for assembly.
• Follows work orders and prepares furniture for loading onto delivery trucks.
• Assists with warehouse organization to maintain safety and orderliness at all times.
• Must wear all required safety equipment.
• Uses tools including power tools for assembly.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
