About The Position

The position involves efficiently and accurately pulling items according to customer orders in a warehouse setting. The employee will be responsible for navigating to product locations, identifying the correct products and quantities, and transporting them to the checking station. The role requires basic computer navigation skills and the use of voice picking and RF scanning equipment. Adherence to safety rules and housekeeping policies is essential, and experience with heavy equipment such as forklifts is required, although training will be provided.

Requirements

• Must be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing product numbers and line codes.
• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write legibly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the voice picking system and adapt speech for system understanding.
• Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.

Responsibilities

• Pull all orders for the customer according to the prescribed picking quota set by management.
• Navigate to the shelf where the product is located, identify the proper product and quantity, pull the product, and transport it to the checking station.
• Perform basic navigation on the computer.
• Use voice picking and RF scanning equipment as required.
• Adhere to the Stockroom Housekeeping Policy of the facility and specific product line area.
• Maintain accuracy in repetitive routines while ensuring good speed.
• Follow and adhere to all safety rules, including the handling of hazardous materials.
• Operate heavy equipment (Forklift / Order Selector) as required.

Benefits

• Starting hourly rate of $20.35/hr up to $23.10/hr after 1 year of employment.
• Flexible work hours with a start time between 12PM to 8PM.
