About The Position

Position Summary: As a Freezer/Cooler Warehouse Associate, your main responsibility is to pick food products from our cooler or freezer that are stored at a temperature of -0 degrees to fulfill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems while following GMPs and health department regulations. This involves placing items on pallets and moving completed orders to the loading dock staging area using an electric pallet jack or forklift. After that, the orders are wrapped, labeled, and prepared for shipment. It is important to follow all safety regulations, maintain quality standards, and ensure the smooth flow of products throughout the production process. Additionally, as an important team member, you are expected to perform any other assigned duties to the best of your ability.

Requirements

Highschool Diploma or GED.
Demonstrated proficiency in software and ability to use WMS and related software.
Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend and complete documents, as well as answer questions in English.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as needed.
Demonstrated mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions, as well as calculate percentages.
Demonstrated ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must be able to meet predictable attendance and punctuality expectations and physical demands of the position, complying with Ethnix Group’s policies and performance expectations.
Steel toe or composite closed-toe shoes (protective safety footwear) are required in select business units.

Nice To Haves

Warehouse and/or distribution work related experience a plus.
Experience using a motorized pallet jack is preferred.
Motorized pallet jack certified preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow all preferred work methods, safety, and GMPS policies and procedures per company guidelines.
Ensure the work area is safe and immediately report any unsafe conditions and/or acts.
Review work schedules, obtain supplies required to perform the work, and prepare for operations.
Perform a safety check on the pallet jack/forklift to be used and ensure that all other safety devices function properly.
Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
Place pallets on pallet jack, operate along assigned multi-level racks, and locate products according to order sheets.
Manually place the appropriate stock items on pallets from pick slots and racks as required. Use single and/or double pallets as directed.
Transport completed palletized customer orders to the shipping dock staging area. May be required to shrink-wrap pallets for staging.
Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace them with charged batteries, or attach a recharger and complete the vehicle inspection checklist. At the end of the shift, secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position.
Releases of picking orders of the daily planned routes promptly.
Release the order waves and print the labels by route.
Guarantee collection of all customer orders scheduled for delivery.
Cross-departmental collaboration to improve communication and business performance.
Picking orders.
Ensuring correct shipping information is attached and moving completed orders to the shipping area
Loading and unloading trucks.
Complying with OSHA and other safety regulations.
Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish products from various heights.
Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer, and dry.
Performs general housekeeping duties in the work area as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
