This position is in Cargill's protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters. The Warehouse Forklift Operator will perform various warehouse tasks and operate warehouse equipment per warehouse documentation and an understanding of warehouse processes and procedures, with regular guidance. In this role you will support efficient and safe operations.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Forklift experience and/or similar equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in production-related work.
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School Diploma/ GED or a minimum of two years relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Operating Propane Powered Forklift for loading and unloading trailers
  • Knowlege of staging products inside the warehouse and yard
  • Put inventory away in correct locations
  • Working knowledge of how to use a computer
  • Operate pallet inverter to rework damaged pallets of product
  • General housekeeping tasks - sweeping, scraping, shoveling, wiping, etc.
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned.
