About The Position

The Warehouse Operator/ Driver will operate an industrial forklift truck to accomplish various materials handling assignments What You'll Do Identify and transport requested materials to and from various locations including machines, loading docks, trucks, and storage areas. Obtain shipping orders and then identify, verify, and transport requested raw materials, equipment, or processing materials accordingly. Apply understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of required items. Use protective materials and strapping equipment to protect and secure loads once delivered. Reports any problems with materials or transportation to supervisor. Manage and pile skids, pallets, and other supplies in specified areas. Service equipment as needed, reporting mechanical or electrical difficulties to Warehouse Supervisor Perform other related duties as requested.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• State motor vehicle operators permit for operation of forklift highly preferred.
• 3 years’ work experience relating to inventory control.
• Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly.
• Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.
