About The Position

SUMMARY: The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift throughout the warehouse while following all applicable safety regulations. QUALIFICATIONS to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to attend all job related training classes to increase job knowledge and improve job performance. This also encourages confidence and sense of accomplishment.
  • Ability to read and understand standard operating procedures and customer specifications.
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts using calculator.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Basic computer skills and RF system.
  • Successful completion of company forklift certification.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety, food safety, & Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) rules and regulations.
  • Accurately complete forklift inspection sheet and clean-up assignment checklist.
  • Perform forklift inspection at the start of each shift.
  • Ability to use the Radio Frequency (RF) system to receive and stock our product or any outside vendor product using the “Movement” function of the RF system. Use the “Pick/Gather” function to pre-stage product for loads when needed.
  • Responsible for unloading all incoming shipments correctly and properly filling out inbound shipping reports.
  • Responsible for loading product onto trailer for shipping to our customers using the RF system.
  • Accurately compare all quantities to packing list and report and damaged product to quality control.
  • Accurately scan product bar codes and complete receiving forms for shipping office.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all areas of the warehouse are kept clean and orderly.
  • Work in a safe manner by following all company rules and regulations as instructed during job orientation and yearly required safety training.
  • Identify issues and communicate them promptly to the Production Supervisor for assistance.
  • All other duties as assigned.
