From your PASSION to ours Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Warehouse Forklift Operator based in Nampa, ID. The Warehouse Forklift Operator (Driver) supports production by supplying ingredients and packaging materials to all departments and moving finished goods to the Distribution Center using a stand-up forklift. This role also includes loading and unloading trailers and, at times, moving product manually. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to ensure inventory accuracy and safe operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.
  • 6 months to 1 year of stand-up forklift experience preferred
  • Prior warehouse, manufacturing, or food industry experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Heritage / AS400 or similar inventory systems preferred
  • Basic computer skills and strong math skills
  • Understanding of warehouse safety practices
  • Ability to read and write clearly for documentation and inventory tracking
  • Strong verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production needs
  • Dependable attendance and strong safety awareness
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and move objects up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours per shift
  • Ability to perform occasional bending, reaching, twisting, stacking, and manual handling of product
  • Ability to work weekends and flexible shifts based on operational needs
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, which may include: o Hot or cold temperatures o High noise levels o Dust, moisture, or wet conditions

Responsibilities

  • Operate a stand-up forklift to move ingredients, packaging, and finished goods safely and efficiently
  • Supply production departments with materials to meet daily production demands
  • Load and unload trailers at the dock
  • Accurately complete required documentation and communicate inventory movements
  • Perform basic computer transactions related to inventory and production support
  • Manually move, stack, or handle product as needed
  • Follow all food safety, safety, and quality procedures
  • Work effectively in a high-stress, time-sensitive environment
