About The Position

Leprino, a global leader in the dairy food and ingredient industry, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our team located in Roswell, NM. Leprino is the world's largest supplier of mozzarella cheese and one of the largest suppliers of premium dairy nutrition ingredients. Our customers and business partners span the globe and include many of the world's largest food companies, restaurant chains and distributors.As a Forklift Operator you will be responsible for inspecting document numbers, checking shipping instruction text, inspecting products for any damage, looking over product specification placards, and retrieving products from coolers, freezers or the powder room. This position is responsible for truck loading and unloading, matching trailer numbers with the tractor number and moving product to correct locations. At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $21.68 and $23.41. In addition, a night shift premium of $1.25 per hour is added for hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM. Requirements

Candidates must possess good communication skills.
Have the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in freezer -10 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ability to perform essential job functions safely.
One-year prior manufacturing experience and at least one (1) year of forklift operation experience.
Possess or have the ability to possess Class "A" License.
Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
Must be able to work Sunday - Saturday, off-shifts, weekends, holidays, and required overtime to support a 24 hour/7-day operation.
Must be able to work a minimum of 8.5 hours.
Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments with high degree of accuracy
Good communication skills
Able to read, write, and speak the English language
Able to read, write, and perform intermediate mathematical calculations
Must be able to maintain accurate records
Good time management skills
Ability to work independently without direct supervision
Able to interpret data and make necessary decisions
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more
Bending, squatting, reaching, and climbing upstairs/ladders are required throughout the shift.
Standing and walking are required throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating a standup forklift preferred.

Responsibilities

Stage and load outgoing cheese, processing and whey products.
Supply Cheese, Processing and Whey Departments with packaging and other supplies as needed.
Place finished products in respective warehouse pallet racks (freezer/cooler/dry warehouse)
Perform general cleaning of freezer, cooler and warehouse.
Perform other duties as assigned by Forepersons and Supervisors.
Ability to properly and safely operate a forklift.
