About The Position

The Warehouse Foreman position is responsible for the planning, coordination, and supervision of work activities of associates including Temporary Agency workers involved with inventory control, yard maintenance, warehouse workers and the loading/unloading of trucks. The position implements and monitors management programs as they relate to safety, quality, employee relations, traffic flow, inventory control, and yard maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Experience in management of processes and process improvement.
  • Understanding of safety practices and procedures.
  • Previous experience in lean manufacturing/5S.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a workforce of associates engaged in receiving, transporting, and stacking supplies and finished goods.
  • Order fulfillment and shipping.
  • Maintaining stock records and inventory control.
  • Plan, monitor, and communicate job results.
  • Responsible for coaching, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action of team associates when necessary.
  • Maintain quality and production standards in a cost-effective and efficient manner by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensure availability of finished goods and supplies by keeping accurate inventory and timely communication of any issues.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing associates in sustaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Establish positive communication with associates, supervisors, dispatchers, office manager, and plant manager.
  • Organize the flow of external and internal trucks and trailers for efficient loading times and completion of open orders.
  • Enforce housekeeping standards.
